EMPLOYEES: GETTING STARTED

NOTE: The RTD-IRA is available only through employers who have enrolled in the RTD-IRA program. If your company is not currently enrolled in the RTD-IRA program, please ask your employer to contact RTD at 303.299.2122 or by email at Contact Us.

HOW TO ENROLL

  1. Log on to the RTD-IRA web site (RTD-IRA.com) and click on the “employees enroll now” button..
  2. Complete the brief pre-survey about your current travel behavior. This step is required before you can continue the enrollment process.
  3. Download the Automatic Payroll Deduction and Direct Deposit forms, complete both and give to your employer. If you would like to open a new Wells Fargo Goal Savings account and receive a $25 matching deposit when you deposit your first $25, download the WELLS FARGO BANK $25 MATCHING DEPOSIT COUPON. Once you have completed your enrollment, take this coupon to Wells Fargo Bank for redemption, fill out the Direct Deposit form using your new savings account number and give the form to your employer.
  4. Enter your contact information to log onto the website.
  5. Order your RTD transit pass. You only have to revisit the site if you want to change your order or address, or if you want to cancel your participation. Your pass will be mailed directly to your home address approximately five days before the start of the month.

Employee Responsibilities

The RTD-IRA program has been designed to be as convenient as possible for employees. In order to participate in the program, you must agree to do the following:

  • Make an automatic payroll deduction of at least $25 per month, or the amount equal to your pre-tax savings each month from purchasing a transit pass, during each month that you purchase an RTD transit pass through the RTD-IRA program.
  • Direct deposit this savings into a qualified savings account. Or, you can open a new Wells Fargo® Goal Savings account and they will match your first $25 deposit.   • Complete a brief pre-enrollment survey online regarding your current commute behavior, and complete a post survey after being a member of RTD-IRA for 12 months.
